Carlisle | Wortman Associates is pleased to announce 3 new additions to our team! Mike Radzik, Alissa Starling and Mike Auerbach each have diverse career backgrounds and are primed to fill important roles within the company.
Mike Radzik
Mike joins us as our new Administrative Manager of Code Enforcement Services. Within his new role, Mike will manage administrative staff for CES and lead new programs and services. Mike’s over 40 years of experience working in local government make him a perfect fit for our client’s municipal challenges. Whether it was managing the Building, Planning, and Code Enforcement departments as the Office of Community Standards Director for the Charter Township of Ypsilanti or as the First Lieutenant and Special Threats Response Unit Commander with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office, Mike has improved the lives of those within the communities he has represented.
Alissa Starling
Fresh off of completing her work as the Placemaking Ambassador within the Wayne State University Office of Economic Development, Alissa has teamed up with CWA as our new Planner. Her experiences surround a focus on sustainability, historic preservation, and urban economic development. This includes participation in an archaeology excavation in Hamtramck, MI as well as assistance with a policy research/grant proposal for a Detroit nonprofit focused on public health and community engagement. Alissa is a member of the Students of Michigan Association of Planning and is currently an Urban Planning Master’s candidate at Wayne State University, specializing in urban economic growth.
Mike Auerbach
With two Master’s Degrees (Urban & Regional Planning and Public Policy) from the University of Michigan, Mike combines impressive academic and professional experiences as a new Planner with CWA. His planning experience includes site plan review, zoning administration, facilitating public engagement and assisting local officials in drafting new ordinance provisions and policies. Most recently, Mike was an assistant planner in the City of Dexter for 3 years. He brings with him a versatile technical skillset for analyzing, evaluating, and mapping land use and socioeconomic data.
