New clients and projects
The Grosse Pointe Public School System is embarking on a multi-year, district-wide walkability program. Beginning this fall, the district will partner with Safe Routes to Schools (Michigan Fitness Foundation) to identify and improve designated walking routes and pedestrian infrastructure in the built-out, dense, inner-ring suburb. CWA will provide project management, community engagement, and educational programming and facilitation. The project comes at a time when declining school population resulted in the closure of schools.
Dick Carlisle and Code Enforcement Services’ Director Craig Strong are helping Grand Traverse County conduct a building department audit, reviewing permit fees and processes and aiding the transition to an electronic-based permitting system.
