Paul Montagno joins the CWA team

montagno-webPaul Montagno, AICP, has joined the staff of Carlisle/Wortman Associates as an associate planner.Montagno most recently was the sustainable communities coordinator for the Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development. He previously spent 10 years as the senior planner for Pittsfield Township.A graduate of Ball State University, Montagno is the immediate past president of the Michigan Association of Planning. He lives in the City of Ann Arbor with his wife and 2 children.Since June, in addition to Montagno, CWA hired two interns into full-time positions and promoted two associates to senior associate positions.“Municipalities are recovering from the recession and coping with new demand for development,” said CWA President Dick Carlisle. “We’re growing our staff to meet that demand.”Carlisle/Wortman Associates provides a full range of community development services to local governments. This includes land use planning, zoning administration, development plan review, code enforcement, economic development, program and department management, grant writing and administration and public engagement management. Carlisle/Wortman Associates serves only governmental agencies. Based in Ann Arbor, the 27-year-old company also has an office in Oakland County.
