Michigan excels at measuring & reporting job subsidies
The watchdog group Good Jobs First (GJF) ranked Michigan second in the nation in measuring and reporting, online, the results of its job subsidy programs. Only Illinois scored higher. As reported by Governing magazine on January 29, 2014, the study gave top points to states that identified the companies receiving subsidies, said how much they’d received and reported the number of jobs created and wage levels. It also examined how easy it was to find and use the online data.
